Key concepts & navigation
Nivlo organizes your digital assets around a few simple building blocks.
The building blocks
Folders — containers for your files. Folders can hold subfolders and can be shared with people outside your company through public links.
Files — anything you upload: images, videos, audio, documents, fonts and more. The same file can appear in several folders without being duplicated.
Sections — top-level workspaces that group folders and control who can see what. Every folder belongs to a section, and users are given access per section.
Tags — labels you attach to files so they are easy to find later. Tags can be added manually or generated automatically with AI.
Links — public URLs you create to share folders with clients (share links) or to let clients send files to you (upload links) — no Nivlo account needed on their side.
Favorites — your personal shortlist of files. Favorites are private to you and available from your account menu.
Recycle bin (Discarded) — deleted items are not removed immediately. They are marked as discarded and can be restored, or permanently deleted when you are sure.
Top navigation bar
The bar at the top of every page is the fastest way to move around.
Search box
Click it (or type and press enter) to open the global search overlay. It finds folders and files by name across everything you have access to.
Sections filter
The dropdown next to the search box filters the whole app by one section. Pick All sections to see everything again. Users with the right permission can also create a new section from here.
Company menu
Administrative pages: Dashboard, Users, Links, All files, User roles, Settings, Sections, Feedback, Tags, Activity logs and Contact. Items you do not have permission for are hidden.
Folders / My folders / Files
Folders lists every folder you can access. My folders shows only folders you created. Files shows all files in one chronological list.
Notifications bell
Shows a red badge with your unread count. Hover or click to see recent notifications, for example when someone uploads to a folder you follow.
Account menu (avatar)
Your personal area: My files, Shared links, Favorites, Account settings and Log out. The Switch tab lets you change company if you belong to more than one.
