Nivlo updates · 21 August 2026

This update makes search more flexible and improves the clarity of previews, archives and file actions.

Search results in grid or list view

On desktop, file and folder results can now be displayed as a grid or a list. The view switch is available directly in the search window and follows the same preference used in folders and on the All Files page.

On mobile, results remain optimised for grid view, while user results continue to use a list.

Impact: you can scan images visually in a grid or use the list when file names and details matter more.

Clearer archive and deletion information

  • The file count and size shown for a folder now reflect the archive contents more accurately, including when the same asset is linked to several folders.
  • The deletion dialog explains what happens when a file is present in multiple folders and shows the current recovery period.
  • When restored, the file can return to folders that still exist.

Impact: you can estimate the archive more accurately and confirm deletion knowing which content is affected and how long it remains recoverable.

Previews that better match the content

  • Images in the grid use the proportions of the actual preview instead of preset shapes.
  • RAW photographs and layered files are displayed with the correct orientation, while square images are no longer treated as landscape images.
  • The improvement also applies to existing files without requiring another upload.
  • The preview strip inside a folder window now makes better use of the available width.

Impact: grids and preview windows represent the assets you are reviewing more faithfully.

  • When the same file is linked to several folders, the archive includes it in every corresponding location in the folder structure.
  • Opening a preview from a public link no longer takes the visitor away from the shared page.
  • If the browser cannot play a particular video format, the preview interface remains stable.
  • RAW previews no longer display an unwanted white edge.

Impact: downloaded structures match the organisation in Nivlo more closely, while recipients can review shared assets without unexpected interruptions.
