Nivlo updates · July 2026
In July, we improved previews, selections and archive downloads so everyday actions are clearer and more predictable.
Previews that preserve your context
- Opening a file preview no longer resets your place on the page, your current selection or the files already loaded through scrolling.
- Navigation from a notification or an internal link opens the correct file directly.
- Browser-ready video versions are recognised and played correctly even when the original file uses a different format.
Impact: you can review several assets and return to exactly where you left off without rebuilding your selection or finding the file again.
More precise file actions
- Share and Move actions started from a row apply only to the file you clicked.
- For bulk actions, Nivlo uses the exact list confirmed in the dialog before moving, copying or sharing files.
- Manual tagging works normally again.
Impact: the outcome of an action matches the selection you saw, including when working quickly with many assets.
More reliable downloads and archives
- ZIP archives preserve the folder structure.
- One unavailable file no longer stops an entire folder download; the remaining assets continue to be prepared.
- Files that are not ready to download yet are left out of the archive.
Impact: large downloads complete more predictably and keep the organisation you created in Nivlo.
Cleaner uploads and trash behaviour
- Helper files automatically created by macOS or Windows are no longer uploaded as real assets when you drop a folder into Nivlo.
- Files moved to Trash no longer reappear in active lists.
- WAV and MPEG files are classified correctly for preview.
Impact: folders stay clean and media files get the right preview behaviour.
General stability
- Lists now show 60 files per page instead of 40.
- Password-protected share links open more reliably in the browser.
- We improved Timeline activity publishing and the destinations used by download notifications.
Impact: you see more content with fewer page changes, updates appear more consistently, and links and notifications take you to the right place.
